A new home for The Hodgepodge Gambling Forum

A new home for The Hodgepodge Gambling Forum

After 7 years on Ezboard, The Hodgepodge Gambling Forum was yanked from Ezboard and forced to move to the supposedly 'new and improved' Yuku. Anyone can tell you, there's nothing improved or better about Yuku.

Our short stay on Yuku has not been enjoyable for forum staff or forum members. We've lost many members because they just aren't able to login, or simply don't like Yuku.

Daera and staff have been busy working on a new home for The Hodge. One that will be more like our old home on Ezboard. Easy to navigate, easy on the eyes, but more stable. They've scoured the web looking for the best forum software there is, and decided upon Vbulletin.

Our new forum home using the Vbulletin software will be ready for the official move in the coming days. However we're up and running unofficially now, testing things out to ensure a smooth move.

We encourage any of our members that would like to help us get ready for the big move, to come over to http://www.HPgambling.com/ and register your account now. Make a post to let us all know you're there, and spend some time in the 'User CP' area filling in your details and personal preferences so we can fully test the capabilities of our new home.

If you have any trouble and need some help with anything at the new forum, please contact us by clicking on the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the forum.

See ya at the new forum!

Myanmar's Disaster: Aid agencies accepting Myanmar cyclone relief donations - Chatterbox - Come on in and talk! - The Hodgepodge Gambling Forum - Message Board - Yuku

Myanmar's Disaster I'm sure you've all heard about the eMyanmar Disaster. Last weekend Cyclone Nargis swept over Myanmar leaving up to 60,000 people dead. The death toll is rising. 30,000 people are missing, 1 million people left homeless. This is a massive disaster. Borders remain closed... What makes it worst, is this country's borders remain closed to foreigners, making it extremely difficult to get aid to the disaster area. The United Nations and large aid organisations have arrived in Thailand and are ready and waiting to start a large-scale aid operation, but they are not being allowed into Myanmar. The United States and Australia led international calls Tuesday for the military junta in Myanmar to ease entry restrictions to allow disaster relief to reach the cyclone-hit country. President Bush called on Myanmar's military dictators to allow the United States to help. He offered to send the U.S. Navy to take part in the recover-and-relief effort. If anyone would like to help, I've posted a list of relief agencies that need donations for aid to Myanmar. The non-profit list of agencies below was sent out from The Associated Press on May 6th, 2008. (1:07 p.m.)
