I received the following email today from Jackpot Factory:
Update Regarding Flash Casino
and Progressive Games
Dear ,
This is David Brickman, VP Player Affairs for the Jackpot Factory Casino Group. Yesterday you received an email informing you that our Flash “Instant Play” Casino and progressive jackpot games would no longer be available for our U.S. customers. I am happy to inform you that the decision to implement this change has been delayed until further notice.
I sincerely apologize for the premature notification but it was simply our intention to keep you informed of imminent changes rather than have you find out after the fact.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
All the best,
David Brickman
Vice President of Player Affairs

And here's even better news...
Intertops will continue to welcome U.S. players! Not just existing players, but new registrations as well!
However, Microgaming (their casino and poker software provider) made the decision to Geo IP block customers if they are based within these 18 states: Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana, Oregon, Wisconsin, Washington, Indiana, Nevada, South Dakota, New Jersey and New York as well as Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee and Missouri but to unblock players if they are based in the later 5 upon receiving confirmation that they are really based there.
To make a long story short: Intertops is not pulling out of the US. New and existing players from the U.S. will continue to be welcomed at Intertops!
Intertops Rocks!!

Utah is not on your list.....did you just forget to put it in there? Or am I allowed to play at Intertops again..... :nerves: I miss Intertops :20:
Kentucky's not on that list either... and we all know Kentucky is a BIG NO NO!
I took the text about Intertops directly from a post that the affiliate manager made on another forum. Since he did say "18 states" but only listed "16 states", I'm sure the two he left out were probably Kentucky and Utah. I'm sure it was an oversight. I'll confirm that though.
Thanks for catching that Beeyatch... and I'm sorry. I wish there were 18 states listed already, then we might have been able to *hope* that Utah was ok.
I know this doesn't help you much, but I'm happy to see that Intertops is one MGS casino that will continue to allow new players from the U.S. The only reasons that I can see, that makes Intertops different than the other MGS casinos is: A) The sportsbook B) I think they might do their own processing, without relying on MGS for that. I'm not positive though.
And... everyone has their theories as to WHY Microgaming decided to suddenly pull out of the U.S. somewhat. Personally, I think the Kentucky fiasco sparked the idea, and maybe this article might have scared them enough to decide not to continue. http://www.citypaper.com/news/story.asp?id=16952
I know if I was one of the big dogs at Microgaming, I'd certainly think twice after reading that article. Bogdog had Zip Payments, MGS has their own processor similiar to Zip.
Until something changes with the U.S. legislation that was passed a couple years ago, UIGEA, I imagine online gambling will continue to be a rollercoaster ride. All these changes is sure making me dizzy!

THANK YOU Intertops!!!!!!
I hope everyone remembers (when this is all over) who stuck by us and who fled the sinking ship like rats! I know I absolutely won't forget who threw me a life raft! Enough of the metaphors!
I am in a serious "not able to play my favorite slots" funk. Damn those MG casinos for making such fun games and then locking us out!!!
How sad is it, that I am considering moving to a state that allows gambling?:rofl:Hi! 1 800 GAMBLER! It's me again! HAHAHA! We need to start a support group, Beeyatch!

I know you're not all poker players. But here's some news about Doyles Room. A prima poker room. Prima is Microgaming's poker software/network. Doyles, like most Prima Poker rooms, also has a Microgaming Casino built in as a Flash Version.
Doyles sent out the following email to affiliates on Nov. 11th:
DoylesRoom.com has been informed by its software provider that effective Monday November 10th, 2008; they will no longer be accepting any new players from the United States of America. Existing players from the USA will not be affected by this and will be able to continue playing; therefore, all affiliate revenue generated by these players will be honored. This measure does not affect affiliates located in the USA.
Based on the above, DoylesRoom.com has decided to continue its marketing efforts in the USA and the rest of the world, and to this end we are quickly working towards migrating to a new software platform that will support our efforts to provide security and stability to all USA players and affiliates. Once we migrate to this new platform, our retention department will contact all those new players that tried to join during this transition and help them access the account they attempted to create and by doing so, all affiliate tracking codes will be still attached to each players' account.
Currently, we are negotiating with multiple software providers. As soon as a decision is made, we will send you another email with all the details.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact your personal affiliate account manager or simply send us an email to affiliates@dbpn.com
I think this is pretty cool too! :)

More news about Belle Rock Casinos.
Although they have said that existing players could continue to play, they have already started what they're calling 'Phase 1' of becoming ZERO dependant on U.S. players. That means that although some U.S. players can and will be able to continue to play in their group, some existing players will find their accounts being closed.
Another big reason MGS casinos are taking this step, is the high cost of processing to the U.S. The cost isn't high just because it's the U.S., but because of the high-risk involved for processors, and the lengths they have to go through to get funds processed to us. It's not profitable to continue processing for U.S. players for the most part, until our government stops with the bullshit. (If they ever do)
I do have complete faith in all Microgaming Casinos to pay anyone they owe. Microgaming has been one of the most reliable and trusted software companies when it comes to paying players. You don't hear about MGS casinos going out of business and just leaving players unpaid. When that has happened, another MGS group picks them up and makes sure all players and affiliates are paid. Just like when Casino Rewards bought out Captain Cooks, Casino Classic, Casino Kingdom, Nostalgia, Phoenician, etc. And I don't believe any of this is remotely due to any financial problems. I believe it's all based on the B.S. U.S. laws regarding online gaming.
The worst part about this all, is the 'not knowing' and 'confusion'. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. If we don't have the answers, we'll get the answers for you. Keeping in mind that these days the situation seems to change often with U.S. players.
Before I ever found forums or knew what an affiliate was... I was and still am a player. Microgaming is my software of choice, and I'll continue to play at Microgaming Casinos as long as I'm able to. I don't blame MGS, or anyone in this industry for being cautious with U.S. players. Our government sure put Neteller and some others through a lot of legal expense and hassles.
Our best hope is for regulation of online gambling in the U.S. A lot of people in the industry believe this will happen, it's just a matter of time. We'll see.
In the meantime, RTG and Rival Casinos are still completely U.S. friendly.
All the Rival casinos are reputable.
Some RTG casinos are first class, and some are rogue. You should educate yourself and choose an RTG casino carefully. Some of the top notch reputable RTG's are: iNetBet (http://www.inetbet.com/affiliates/aiddownload.asp?affid=353&redirect=http://www.inetbet.com/download.asp), Club World (http://www.clubusacasino.net/affiliates/aiddownloadcasino.asp?casinoID=181&gAID=7877&subGi d=0&bannerID=4481), Mainstreet (Vegas Casino Online (http://www.vegascasinoonline.com/Remote/AidDownload.php?casinoID=234&gAID=10205&subGid=0&bannerID=3827), Las Vegas USA (http://www.lasvegasusacasino.com/Remote/AidDownload.php?casinoID=235&gAID=10205&subGid=0&bannerID=3563), Sun Palace (http://www.sunpalacecasino.com/Remote/AidDownload.php?casinoID=236&gAID=10205&subGid=0&bannerID=4005), Slots Plus USA (http://www.slotsplus.com/Remote/AidDownload.php?casinoID=299&gAID=10205&subGid=0&bannerID=4648),) Rushmore (http://www.rushmorecasino.com/a/b4088-cn-a12599), Lucky Club Casino (http://download.luckyclubcasino.com/remote/aiddownload.asp?casinoID=292&gAID=17891&subGid=0&bannerID=4637), Cherry Red (http://www.cherryredcasino.com/a/b4146-cn-a12599), Casino Extreme (http://www.casinoextreme.com/affiliates/aiddownload.asp?affid=1291), etc.
Some of the rogue RTGs that you should avoid are: Cool Cat, The Virtual Casino, Cirrus, Club Player, Palace of Chance, Mighty Slots, etc.
If ever in doubt about a certain casino's reputation, post here and ask other players if they have any experience at that casino. If they've withdrawn, and how that went, etc.
One last U.S. friendly software to consider is the brand new 'Wizard Gaming'. They're looking promising, but are still very new. So far there's only two casinos powered by Wizard Gaming, Gold Rock (http://www.goldrockcasino.com/?aff=Farrago) and All Star Slots (http://www.allstarslots.com/?aff=1491&cmp=148)

The MG situation is truly a mess and certainly confusing right now for both players and affiliates and I imagine MG Casino Groups as well, hopefully we will see a light at the end of the tunnel before this time next year with the new administration taking office in Jan. 09 !!

Thank you michaelfromvt,
We're just learning that Belle Rock Casinos are closing to U.S. players. My Riverbelle account is still open I know, because I logged in to check yesterday. I'm not sure about any other accounts there of mine. I do know a bunch of Belle Rock accounts have been locked due to this mess. And the Belle Rock Group has stated they are phasing out of the U.S.
Grand Prive will also stop allowing existing U.S. players very soon. I believe they stop at the end of November, but don't quote me on the date.
Intertops continues to allow new and existing players from the U.S., as long as they're not in a banned state.
The rest of the MGS casinos that allowed U.S. previous to this, continue to allow existing U.S. players to play so far.

Bad news... Intertops can no longer accept new registrations from the U.S. for their casino or poker room. They will however be able to continue allowing new U.S. player registrations for their sportsbook.
Intertops sent this to their affiliates on the 18th.
Intertops strives to provide outstandingly good service to its customers - no matter where they are located - and to maintain fair and long-term relationships with its business partners: You, as an affiliate, are a very important business partner.
As you may know, Intertops does not use the Microgaming Online Registration and/or Online Banking. As a result we have not been dependent on decisions made by Microgaming and have been able to welcome sign-ups from the United States.
However, we have received information from Microgaming today advising us that we have to shut down ALL US registrations. Therefore we will discontinue new registrations for the US later today. Please note that this will not impact your existing player base.
Please understand that the decision to disable registrations from the United States is not ours and we are working on a solution to enable new customers as soon as possible.

Most online casinos have problems sending checks to the U.S. now. Some still do, most MGS casinos don't. And when checks are requested, they're often a big hassle these days because of the difficulties the gaming industry has with checks and the U.S.
I am sure Vegas Country will pay you. You don't need a bank account. If you need any help with this cashout or cashout options without a bank account, pm me and I'll be happy to explain more. :)
I hope you've been paid by now though.
